Description

Traditional open fermentation was employed followed by maturation in French oak barriques for 20 months

In order to achieve the kind of fruit required to produce a white with Insolite's crystalline and intense personality

Sheep and rabbits co-existed on the land for quite some time but the sheep couldn't keep up with the nocturnal activity of the rabbits

Structured palate in its youth

Benjamin Leroux Grand Cru Corton-Charlemagne 2023 côtes-du-brian Traditional open fermentation was employedBen has made a single barrel, from vines planted in Les Languettes, facing south east in the Aloxe Corton sector of the hill. The nose is rich, with ripe peach and apricot notes. The palate is firmer and more mineral, with a grippy slab of dry stone at the end. The taut, mineral finish should allow for a decade or so of ageing.
