Players, as local governors, compete to establish the most profitable plantations and sell sugar, cocoa, coffee, etc. to Europe. Each player has their own board where they must build new buildings, hire colonists to work in the plantations, and start harvesting the valuable crops. Puerto Rico is on the heavier end of the complexity scale and there is very
